Trip rates are flat, so weekly wages are a single number you can plan on, not a range. The first-year total adds up everything above it — wages, per diem, sign-on, health reimbursement, and paid time off — and spans the base package to the package with the safety bonus earned. Trip rates, per diem, and bonuses are fixed; annual figures are estimates and vary with freight volume.
Dedicated Round Trips
Dedicated round trips between Phoenix, Kingman, and Fontana, California. Three to five trips a week depending on assignment — typically 36–45 on-duty hours. Monday–Friday night dispatch. Every trip pays a flat rate, so you know your check before you leave the yard — and a $20/hour floor across all on-duty hours has your back if a breakdown or a brutal dock hold blows a night up.
Phoenix → Kingman, AZ
- 420 miles round trip
- $235 flat per turn — usually 8 to 9 hours door to door
- Out and back on one shift — home by morning, sleep in your own bed
Phoenix → Fontana, CA
- 840 miles round trip
- $455 flat per loop — usually 14 to 15 driving and dock hours
- Plus a 10-hour rest — about 24 to 25 hours door to door
- $80 tax-free per diem for the overnight
What a normal week looks like — no surprises
A regular Kingman week is five night runs, home every morning, and $1,175 in wages — the same number every week. A California week is three round trips, three nights out, roughly $1,605 including per diem.
If freight is light, the $1,175 weekly guarantee covers you. If a night truly blows up, the $20/hour floor does — say a breakdown turns an 8-hour Kingman turn into 13 hours: that run pays 13 × $20 = $260 instead of $235, checked run by run, never averaged across the week. You are not absorbing the risk of a slow week or a broken night — we are.
